In search of failure....

What is the sure shot way to success?

Oh! It seems so commonplace! There is a plethora of books on such topics. A number of self-proclaimed management gurus, Success gurus, motivation gurus etc have devoted millions of pages to describe and prescribe the same. Then why this question? And why this blog post?

This morning i read a book with the title In Search of Failure. An interesting, funny book that tells the young generation not only to expect and accept failure but also to enjoy it. The book does provide an interesting reading. But i am not going to discuss the gist or the message of the book here. I'll just tell you the idea that struck me when i saw the title of the book.

And that is :

"The sure shot way to success lies in search of failure".

Failure does not happen at one stroke. Something somewhere is always failing. And when the degree of failure reaches tipping point, two things happen simultaneously. One, the failure becomes noticeable to all. Two, the failure becomes so big that it is now very difficult to reverse the procedure i.e. to convert the failure into success.

Hence, the secret of success lies in search of failure. Keep on searching failures in the system. And if you are able to find it before the tipping point, congratulate yourself. Success will be easier now. And if you are not able to find out any failure in the system or the organization, bad news!

"The sure shot way to failure lies in not finding any failures".

Interesting? Frightening? A play of words? Your decision, please. I just shared what came to my mind.

Dear Sir,

Greetings!

I always find your post succeeding in refreshing reader's mind! Your thoughts are straight, simple and possessive.

"The sure shot way to failure lies in not finding any failures". I want to support this statement by saying that failure is the pathway to success, because every time one fails in doing something, he/she ends up knowing what not to do to get fail!

Respected Sir,

Greetings!!

Your posts always convey the gist of living successful life (Professional as well as personal). Sir I have one query, What would you suggest to those people who get frustrated from their one or two failures, though success always comes after failure.

Thanks & Regards

Sir,

Success is often achieved in favorable conditions. "When the tide comes in, even the dead fish rise!"

Failure is "achieved" when you try to cut through the waves against the wind.*

So obviously you learn more from most failures than you learn from most successes.

However, the trick is to make sure that the failure is not terminal, that you can live to fight another day.

I say all this not in terms of a theoretical concept but in the light of a decade and a half of entrepreneurial experience!

Regards,
Manas

Respected Sir,
There is a saying in Hindi like "NINDAK NIYARE RAAKHIYE..." that is always keep your critics with you as they will always find mistakes in you and your system and hence will help in improving it.

RESPECTED SIR,
in my views ...success comes after failures-this is a sad thing but certain a truth that failures only teaches us the right way to get success.Do mistakes n learn from them, best way to enjoy life.
but sometimes when you fail it's like waking up from a happy fantasy
The end of a perfect dream
Like a nightmare, but this was not a end it was just a beginning of new hope with more enthusiasm and loadz of hard work.
success gurus or the mantras will just let you know the lessons what they experienced in their life, try to figure out what your own existence require to achieve your own set target.
In 1 thing i believe is "LEARN FROM YOUR ENVIRONMENT" success will definitely follow you.
